This is a fun horse, strong enough for older children to use as a toy horse for their dolls and yet if it is left in the plain wood and clear varnished, stylish enough to have as an ornament. The horse needs no carving at all with chisels.

Because the shaping is done quickly, the whole rocking horse can be made in a few hours. The longest processes are waiting for the glue and paint or varnishes to dry. A very satisfying result for a minimum of effort and skill and so pleasing to the eye.
