This is a dream of a horse, beautiful to behold as an ornament to grace any home, but equally practical as the ultimate toy that is never outgrown by any generation and perfect as the family heirloom everyone will love and treasure through many years. The largest of the rocking horses, it is strongly reminiscent of the early to mid-nineteenth-century horses, the biggest difference being that the rockers are not nearly so high. This is for the riders safety, causing them to stop and slide rather than tip at the end of a vigorous rock. This is a horse that needs space, both to show off the way that the curve of the rockers is reflected in the curve of the legs and body giving it a pleasing symmetry, and also for the practical reason that the rockers are 7ft. (2.13m) long .
To allow room for movement a minimum of 12ft. (3.65m) is needed for the horse to be used to its full potential. It is designed to last and is strongly built, which also means it is heavy. The ride is very realistic; you can almost feel the hooves hitting the ground as you ride, because it has the same movement as a horse at full gallop which was so important when this type of horse was first created, to teach the rudiments of riding. Many adults enjoy a ride on these rocking horses and provided it is treated with respect and the rider is not too heavy, the horse will come to no harm.
